Couto dos Pardinhos

Enterprise of Rural Tourism, situaded in a familiar property for more than seven generations, with roots in the parish of Monforte da Beira, municipal of Castelo Branco.

The property with 500 Hectars, called Pardinhos, is a farm dedicated to exploration of olive groves and hollow and cork oak forest, and the breeding of Lusitano Horses (ACM Stud), cows and Iberian pigs and also the Hunting.

Agrotourism Couto dos Pardinhos benefits of a scenic involvement of great natural beauty and inclusion in PNTI, turning it in a high-quality development, which offers the guests a variety of different activities, such as nature tourism and equestrian tourism.

The potential is varied, from bird-watching, pedestrian and equestrian paths and canoe rides on the river thar runs through the property and its limits.

The property is located a short distance from historic villages - Monsanto, Sortelha, Idanha-a-Velha, Penha Garcia, Castelo Novo and Belmonte. Guests can also participate in agricultural activities of the property - olive picking, pruning, treatment and cleaning animals, for example - and know the traditions of the region such as religious festivals and the so famous embroidery from Castelo Branco. To this end, seminars, and internships are carried out with local companies and technicians who have know-how necessary for the development of these activities.

The Couto dos Pardinhos offers guests when it is requested, a picnic service or small snacks.
